Batteries.

Michala's dad has stayed in many hotels over the years, and I've been told he loves to keep the bathroom goodies. Here I have arranged and sorted them.
Accidentally in front of the mirror, but gives a good effect.

Finally got some GOOD feedback.

So I've been trying uber hard this year to be productive...more because I think that I'm so freakin scared about next year but still..workworkwork

Been messing around with the dolls again, trying different set ups and orders to see what effects I can achieve.

Don't they look lovely...

I really really love how this worked, hanging them upside down from a shelf really gave a different feel rather than just standing on a plinth.

However I'm not too sure about using to ginger girles...

 

I think the three girls with hats works best.

Illumnate Bath Week.

So this week has been a brand new yearly arts festival right here in Bath. On Tuesday night I went to the Circus to catch a part of Olivia Thomson's kinetic bike ride

Photo is thanks to Natalia and her blog, it was very cold but the bikes looked amazing all light up, most people had attached glow sticks to their handlebars. Her ambition was 'to encourage people to get back on their bikes, burn some calories, save on petrol costs and have some fun!'

Also at the circus was Sarah Johnston's Luxarbourscope

 It was intended to capture the light from car headlights as they entered the circus roundabout and through he mirrors in the box to project it into the trees, brilliant idea but unfortunately however many cars came past I never saw it work.

After a long walk down to Green Park Tavern Jenny Cooper had her installation set up, 'All that glitters is not Gold'.

This involved viewers taking part, with a OHP and a large collection of found objects.

Over at the pump rooms Bob Ferns had set up an amazing projection. It was all to do with eye tacking, each persons eye movements were recorded as a different coloured dot, they were asked to look at an image of the building for 30 seconds and then asked to draw it from memory.

 Wednesday night, my walk into town pasted the Fashion Museum. I'm not sure if this was related to the festival but the building was lit up in reds and purples! which looked amazing reflected off the wet floor.

 In Milsons Place Will Kendrick and Alex Cotterell had set up a projection. It was to do with their mutual love of colour and light. 

'Working with projectors, screens and video cameras, Alex and Will experiment with fractal formations found in live video feedback to achieve light and colour emissions.

These light based interventions offer an engaged and immersive viewer experience in response to a specific space, catalysing renewed perceptions of spatial parameters.'

I had a phone call back!!

Bit late telling you about this but hey. Moved into my new house this year and one my walk to uni everyday I pass this delightful house.

At first glance seems like any other stone house in Bath. But on closer inspection you see they have a crazy porcelain cats. 

A little strange I know but not only is it wonderfully peculiar, but it fits in perfectly with my collections.

So I wrote a letter and posted it on the Friday, Sunday afternoon a dear old lady rang me, and asked 'Are you Lauren, Dear?'. She explained that the Lady of the house is 95 and living in a home, but HER PASSION IS CATS!, how amazing is that.
I'll be contacted a while later to be told whether or not she minds me taking photos and telling me her story..rather exciting but also a little scared!

Leaving the dolls aside I've been playing around with my keyrings.

I did feel like I had millions turns out was a lot less
